For months now, Wall Street has lived on the hopes and aspirations of a new technology, Artificial Intelligence. AI promised to take these highly profitable companies to the next level. The big six were already the most valuable financial assets on the globe. Three were valued at over $3 trillion, (Nvidia, Apple, and Microsoft) two over $2 Trillion (Amazon and Google/Alphabet), and the “low priced company (Meta) at over $1 Trillion.

This week began the effort to unwind the most costly war, in terms of lives and resources, that Europe has seen in 80 years. It has been a tragedy of epic proportions. While we don't know exactly how this war will end, the peace process has at last begun.

There is much more to a financial report than just debits and credits. If you know how to look, you will find an organization’s collective aspirations over time, the goals and directives that shape an entity’s success or failure — all there in dollars and sense.
Today, we look at the latest financial report for the Los Angeles Fire Department.

It puts an entirely different slant on how we view the Yield Curve. It's no longer this passive time difference between short and long maturities. Now, it's as if there is one active player (the Bank—the Fed) who puts up their latest interest rates. While on the sidelines, the rest of the world (literally) stands in judgment of the Fed's move. If the Fed raises rates too high, as they did from 2022 until 2024, the long end of the Yield Curve, the Seer, stays put, refusing to budge, showing to the world that the Fed has overreacted.
